Rangers Whack Vikings

There was no doubt who the better team was tonight when Nordhoff traveled to take on the Hueneme Vikings in a non-league match-up. The Rangers jumped out to an early lead and then shifted into overdrive as they beat the Vikings 69-7. Isaac Seymour ran wild over the Vikings' defense, rushing for more than 200 yards in the first half. Quarterback Jake Logsdon threw for three touchdowns, two of which went to Sean Bettles. The Rangers were clearly the best team tonight and they head into their huge match up next week with Ventura with a lot on confidence and a 3-0 record.

Rangers Roll Again

After a slow start, the Nordhoff Rangers scored 21 points in the second quarter and then did the same in the third quarter en route to a 42-12 win over visiting Pacifica tonight. The Rangers were led by junior Isaac Seymour, who scored four touchdowns on the night, three on the ground and one through the air. Jake Logsdon tossed three touchdowns (Seymour, Sean Bettles and Eric Lara) to bring his season total to eight. Kyle Moore was a perfect six for six on extra points.

The NHS defense was solid all night and did not give the Tritons much to celebrate, especially in the second half. The Rangers improve to 2-0 on the season. See Wednesday's OVN for more details and quotes from head coach Tony Henney.
