It did not take NHS long to establish their dominance as they jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead and then they would extend their lead to 41-0 at the half.
Quarterback Tanner Workman touchdown passes to Austin Wolcott, Brandon Wadsworth and Jake Boyd. Senior running back Matt Woodcock scored two rushing touchdowns and fellow running back Tayler Livingston added another rushing score in the third quarter. Boyd also threw a touchdown pass to Taylor Brown on a trick play.
The NHS defense was stellar as they have been all season and the Royals were unable to get anything going on offense. The Rangers set the tone early and used their running game to control the clock and their defense limited the number of big plays Thousand Oaks made on the night.
Senior running back Tayler Livingston gained more than 100 yards on the ground and he found the end zone two times for the Rangers. Quarterback Tanner Workman was efficient and played his best game of the season. Workman threw touchdown passes to Brandon Wadsworth and Emmett Johnsen and made big throws when the Rangers needed them the most.
The win was their second in as many years against the Lancers and puts NHS back in the mix as one of the elite teams in the CIF-Southern Section. NHS played near flawless football on both sides of the ball and the game was never in doubt. Senior Tayler Livingston scored the first touchdown of the game and then Tanner Workman connected with Brandon Wadsworth for two touchdowns to give the Rangers a 20-0 advantage. In the second quarter, Workman threw a 38-yard TD to senior Jake Boyd and then defensive lineman Emmett Johnsen intercepted a pass and returned it for a score to make the score 33-0.
Workman would finish the half with two more touchdown passes, one more to Boyd and one to Taylor Brown. The senior quarterback finished their first half with five touchdown passes. In the second half, Austin Santino threw his first career touchdown pass to Brown and then linebacker Kobe Welch made his debut on offense and scored a rushing touchdown to make the final score 61-0.

Seniors Tayler Livingston, Matt Woodcock and Brandon Wadsworth all scored rushing touchdowns despite the Tritons doing a decent job stopping the NHS rushing attack. The Rangers were able to do some damage through the air, however. Senior quarterback Tanner Workman threw three touchdowns, including two perfect passes to wide out Jake Boyd. Senior tight end Austin Wolcott also caught a touchdown.
The NHS defense was stellar as well tonight. They only surrendered one big play on the night and senior Alex Esquivel recorded a safety. Junior Nick Sterling also had an interception.

Tonight the Nordhoff Rangers qualified for the CIF-SS Finals after defeating the Compton - Centennial Apaches, 13-8. NHS jumped out to a 13-0 first half lead and then they were able to hang on to the 13-8 win. The Rangers and Apaches went back-and-forth late in the game and NHS did not punch their ticket to the finals until late the final seconds of the game.<br />

Tayler Livingston was the workhorse for the Rangers tonight as he rushed for nearly 200 yards and scored Nordhoff's only touchdown of the game. Sophomore Cooper Garcia booted field goals of 42 and 47 yards, which proved to be the difference in the game. The NHS defense was stellar and several players had big games. Senior Brad Sloan made a few huge plays for the Rangers.<br />

Matt Woodcock was dominant early in the game and he capped the Rangers’ first drive of the night with a 54-yard touchdown run. He would go on to score two more touchdowns in the first half before coming out of the game once the Rangers were in control. </div>

The Rangers got on the board first with a 61-yard touchdown catch by Matt Woodcock. The Cardinals pulled even and the game was tied at 7-7 going into halftime. <br />

Bishop Diego took a 14-7 lead in the third quarter and despite several prime opportunities to tie the score late in the game, NHS was not able to get the ball in the end zone again and the Cardinals upset the Rangers 14-7. With the win, Bishop Diego claims the 2012 Tri-Valley League championship and advance to 9-0 for the first time in the school's history. <br />

The two teams went scoreless for most of the first half before each team added touchdowns late in the second quarter. Both the Rangers and Eagles missed their extra points, making the score 6-6 at the half.<br />

In the second half, the Rangers took a 13-6 lead when running back Matt Woodcock threw a touchdown to Jake Kunde. Hannah Greene added the extra point to give the Rangers a touchdown advantage. The Eagles came right back and added a touchdown, but they missed their second extra point of the night and NHS led 13-12 in the fourth quarter.<br />

Late in the game, Oak Park had the ball and was moving but senior Brad Sloan made a great play on the ball and intercepted the pass and returned the ball to the Oak Park two-yardline. From there, Tanner Workman scored on a quarterback keeper making the score 20-12. The win takes the Rangers to 7-0 overall on the season.<br />

NHS jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a touchdown catch by Luis Espinosa and a touchdown run by Isaac Seymour. In the second quarter quarterback Andy Drifka found wide out Eric Lara 22-yard touchdown just before halftime, giving Nordhoff and 21-7 halftime lead. In the second half Lara kicked two field goals and Seymour added one more touchdown to give the Rangers some breathing room and a 33-14 lead. The final score of the game came on a four-yard touchdown run by Jacob Perron. The win gave the Rangers their fourth win of the season and improves their league record to 2-0.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">The game marked Santa Paula's homecoming and the opening of their new stadium, but Nordhoff proved to be too much for the Cardinals to handle on their big night. NHS led 14-6 at the half but then exploded for 28 unanswered second half points to earn their second win of the season. Isaac Seymour led the way with three rushing touchdowns for the Rangers. Senior Jordan Morrison caught a touchdown and rushed for another. The Rangers were without quarterback Andy Drifka, but sophomore Tanner Workman filled in nicely, throwing two touchdown passes.
