The Nordhoff Rangers kicked their 2007 season off in style with a huge 31-13 win over St. Joseph high school. The Rangers exploded for 14 first quarter points, and took the 14-13 lead into the half. The second half belonged to the Rangers as they outscored the Knights 17-0.
Touchdowns were scored by Tyler Wadsworth, Matt Smith, Damian Kaiser and Albert Mireles and kicker David Brown was perfect on extra points and added a field goal. The NHS defense lived up to the pre-season hype and shut down the Knights. See Wednesday’s OVN for the full story, stats, and quotes from Coach Farrar on the Rangers’ first win of the season.
